Monica Epperson is an author, speaker, and trainer who shares a compelling message about the gifting of adversity and the overcomer’s insight to live purposely.
Monica is co-founder and CEO of The Child of Divorce, a nonprofit dedicated to mitigating the negative effects of divorce on children. A child of divorce herself, she has written several support group curriculums for children and parents, facilitated multiple training seminars, and has been nominated for Tulsa’s philanthropy award, the Tulsey.
Monica’s work also includes children’s books of hope and overcoming the obstacles of divorce. Her first book A Heart with Two Homes was published in 2008 while her latest book Bounce debuted in December 2011. Prior to her work with children of divorce, Monica was an elementary school teacher,teaching fifth grade, second grade, and kindergarten.
Monica earned her bachelor of science in elementary education from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Okla. She is currently finishing her graduate degree in counseling with an emphasis on life coaching from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va.
Monica and her husband Brian reside in Tulsa with their daughter Eden. The family is heavily involved in the running community and share a sincere love of Oklahoma Sooner football.
